This place is buzzing every night and if you’re a big party, make sure you have reservations made in advance otherwise you can forget about getting a table here. Local beer is drunk out of bowls here with beautiful Chinese type – not unlike how the French have their cider.

Seafood is a specialty here, and there are signature dishes that you should definitely go for. We were more than 20 so I didn’t have a chance to get many photos before all the food vultures went down on the spread rotating on a lazy susan.

We started with some savory egg plants, and ordered a whole range of fusion dishes from squid ink pasta – they’re famous for, the garlic roast chicken, a delicious peppery fish that comes served with toast, razor clams, fragrant lotus leaf wrapped rice and a lovely deep fried fish. I lost count on the orders, but what we ordered comes highly recommended by the owner himself and friends who are regulars here.

Stay a little later, order more beers and the owner will be hitting the floor with dance moves with his blaring juke box in the background – adds a whole lot of atmosphere to dining in a cooked food centre.
