This outdoor market near Place de Bastille is located right across from our quaint little hotel Auberge Flora, such a pleasure to wake up to on a Sunday where everything in the neighbourhood is closed!
They also have have a crêpe stand that does one of the best galettes we’ve had in a while. Melons are in full season in the summer and plenty of the day’s freshest catch, including free range eggs and home made confiture and things.
Definitely one of the best outdoor markets in Paris, and something to do and part of your Sunday promenade!
The Guardian has a list of other great markets, of which some of my favourites – The Marché aux puce (flea market) at Porte de Montreuil, Marché les Enfants Rouges in Le Marais and this market in Bastille.
