Shop: Where to go Gift Shopping in Macau
If you are looking for alternative choices outside of the giant malls, here are my top 3 choices to go for gift shopping this festive period. Two are new and carry lots of cool imported products. If you missed the shopping suggestions in Macau – here are more ideas.
If you’re running out of time and can’t make trips to Hong Kong, Macau is constantly popping up with new shops and here are three new stores where I’m doing some shopping.
- Quarter Square
Tucked in the little piazza behind Cunha street, if you know here Fong Da coffee is, it’s just diagonally opposite and also do great brews to-go. Alberto has just come back from New York after many years abroad as an interior designer and brings with him the gorgeous sensible style, importing most of the beautiful finds from the US and Scandinavia. I am going for the coriander candle and beer shampoo – both smell wonderful and a pretty unique gift. Also dig those beautiful palettes for rings and accessories.

2. David’s Selection
Whoever David is, I still don’t know. They have an online store and I was told a latin American lady has brought them to Macau, carrying various brands under the umbrella of David’s Selection.
The gift wrappers are cute and plenty of variety to beat the run of the mill boring stuff we get at the local stationery shop or the malls.
3. One Creative Arts
The same owners as Buddy candy store is now stocking local designers from accessories to household items and clothes. There is also a café serving food and drinks – I have yet to try myself, but the store is worth a visit as it brings more variety and options to the Macau shopping scene.
