There are tons of new apps launched everyday with the objective to simplify our lives and make everything more convenient and in one spot. I’ve just jumped on the bandwagon to take part sharing my favourite parts of cities I know best – bit of a mini city guide in app form through blog posts with GPS coded in to guide you to destinations offline.

I personally find this really handy so you don’t have to keep switching between apps to find directions.

What are GPSMy City articles?

GPSMyCity produces city walk apps for almost 500 cities across the world. They use GPS tracking on your iPhone to chart your progress around the route and to make sure you don’t get lost.

Each article is an individual app which you can download for free – which allows you access to it offline as you may not always have data roaming. You can also upgrade for a small fee, the articles app are linked to GPS, so you’ll have it all on hand while exploring and checking out all the spots recommended in the articles.

There is also the option to upgrade for a small fee. This assists with your travel planning by providing an offline map showing the points of interest. The travel article is directly linked to GPS coordinates based on the all the recommendations in the article, so that keeps your travel plans all in one place without having to open separate maps and guides to get there!

At GPSmyCity, there are thousands of these articles (from over 600 worldwide cities). Once this app is downloaded to your phone, you will not need any internet to use the article as a guide. It will show you right where you are on the map and guide you to each subsequent location!

Upgraded Apps Giveaway!

For a start, here are my recommendations for Macau which you can download for free for a limited time period. Travel: Top 10 Cultural Things to Do in Macau, 12 Hours in Macau, where to eat?

36hours in Hamburg, packing it all in with food, architecture and culture.

Headed to Paris? Here’s an Affordable Eat list.

I recommend first going to download the GPSMyCity app. You can browse by city to see what articles are available. You can then download the article for free or upgrade for offline use and GPS tracking.

To get your free upgraded app you need to click on the link (above). Then follow the instructions to download the GPSMyCity app. You will then be taken to the page for the article app – click on Upgrade and the app will be automatically linked to an offline map and the GPS navigator.
