coffee gula melaka buttercream cake

I’ve been away for so long, there isn’t a particular place I turn to for birthday cakes. A friend got me a cake from Edith Patisserie and I’m not a convert. It’s variations of all butter cream cakes which reminds me of the old days when cakes were made with good old buttercream and everything edible, instead of all the fancy looking cakes that taste terrible.

It’s not cheap, but you pay for what you get. The cakes are perfect, not too sweet, great sponge. I’ve only tried the strawberry vanilla and the coffee gula melaka cake and looking forward to trying out more flavours.

You can get them at $13 a slice and a 6″ cake is anything from $45 and up. Customised orders like this monster cake cost $75. If you plan on surprising a friend, they also deliver for an additional $15.
