Sunday Brunch @ Maison Boulud Beijing
Pumpkin soup with caramelised pork bits inside which was a pleasant surprise.
Escargots in China are really an oxymoron, you can imagine how they taste, even in a wonderful restaurant like Maison Boulud. They were okay at best.
Everyone raves about the DB burger, I’m not a big fan of beef, so it’s difficult for me to comment. The portion is massive!
Quail, potatoes and sausages
Desserts are amazing… disregarding the fact that I have a soft spot for desserts. The chocolate mousse with cookie bits is great, but the mocha tart with ganache and a side of whiskey ice cream even better.
And what’s not to love about these tiny macaroons!
Dinner is a treat for special ocassions but brunch is an affordable affair. :)
