Dinner @ * Les Pyrenées Saint- Jean-Pied-de-Port
I forgot about dinner here, that’s not to say it wasn’t great, it was our last Michelin starred meal on the trip and we were so stuffed with rich food all week that we couldn’t finish the full dégustation menu.
Food here is alot more classic and needless to say a whole lot more rich, but still so amazing nonetheless. Formerly **, Les Pyrenées is still fully booked for dinner and the renovated hotel rooms are modern with an idyllic countryside feel, complete with a cute outdoor pool at the back. The cute little town reminded me alot of Treviso.
We stocked up on the best pork and charcuterie I’ve tasted, Pierre Otieza bred Kintoa pigs and the local artisan Ossau-Iraty cheese. I wasn’t a fan of the basque country Irouléguy wines which we had at dinner, they were somewhat rough but drinkable.
Food was great, memories were great, but I no longer feel like writing about it as I’m done with the past and living my present. So, instead here are pretty pictures to enjoy!
Beautiful sunset when we arrived.
