It’s been another whirlwind May weekend at the Hong Kong International Art Fair 2012 with too much to see and too little time. Before Art Basel, there was ArtHK. We didn’t manage to see everything, and we went through lists from Deutsch Bank’s curator’s picks, to Hong Kong-based art and style Maven The Wanderlister‘s blog and Timeout Hong Kong‘s Art Overload rundown.
Here’s the weekend in pictures and huge congratulations to this year’s ART HK 2012 Art Futures Prize winner Hong Kong artist Lee Kit.
Highlights from the fair include Swire Properties’ VIP Lounge at ARTHK12 designed by Marc & Chantal, made with recycled materials collected from different subsidiaries of Swire Group. Around 80% of materials used to build the Lounge will be recycled again after the event, in support of Swire Properties’ long-term commitment to sustainable practices.
