Eating out: Shari Shari Shaved ice Kakigori

shari shari hong kong

Shaved ice is all the rage these days and I may have just found my favourite spot in Hong Kong. Tucked away in a street in Causeway Bay, Shari Shari is tiny shake with snaking queues for folks waiting for a table. The machine that grates the ice is so silent, the interiors are calm and quiet with a small menu of shaved ice desserts, Japanese beverages and of course Matcha green tea.

I don’t do sweets with blood sugar levels that border on type 2 diabetes, so the mixed berry yogurt shaved ice dessert is perfect – not too sweet – the perfect summer treat. I didn’t venture over to the rest of the options that involved caramel and other berries, but judging from the other tables, they look pretty good too.

Best part is they open till midnight, so get your summer fix post dinner here!

Our bill came up to about 150HKD for two of us. We shaved the ginormous dessert.
