Eating out: National Gallery Kitchen by Violet Oon Singapore

I haven’t had the chance to spend much time at the National Gallery Singapore, apart from a long degustation lunch at Odette I wasn’t aware that there was local Peranakan celebrity chef Violet Oon with her National Gallery outfit. The space is gorgeous and achingly hip.

The food – rich, flavourful with a modern twist. We had Ngor hiang, laksa cod, beef rendang, and sambal petai with prawns. I left the ordering up to the ladies Ararielle and Hellojujube, my #bravetribe who took me out to lunch.

You have a choice of white Jasmine rice or nasi lemak rice, I took the latter of course. :)

The best kind of friends are also the ones that love to eat. Picked up some Kueh Salat at Peranakan Khek over a lavender latte at Bravery Café.img_2677 img_2679

I am hoping to keep the blog going as regularly as possible as I embark on this very difficult personal camino that puts me somewhere between purgatory and life.
