Travel SCMP Life: How ancient art of feng shui influenced modern Singapore – from Marina Bay Sands to the Mass Rapid Transit
I took a sidecar feng shui tour with Singapore Sidecars last year when I stayed at the Capella Singapore. I’ve been away nearly 20 years and I feel like every time I return home, I’m looking at Singapore with a new lens. I filed this story for the SCMP.
While things around the world and the virus epidemic has yet to be resolved, Hong Kong is slowly inching back to life with the new normal – whatever that looks like. Hopefully, obsessively good hygiene remains with people being more mindful about coughing into their elbows and sneezing into a handkerchief or tissue paper. And I suppose masks are going to be part of our daily lives for the unknown future.
Anyhow, I digress, I learnt so much about Singapore’s feng shui and a little about the legendary Lee Kuan Yew’s vision for Singapore through his urban planning.
I highly recommend doing the tour with Singapore Sidecars, it’s good fun and you get to learn lots of interesting nuggets about Singapore even if you grew up there.
