As boutique hotels are the rage these days, my brother’s friend has just launched an awesome little space tucked in the corner of CBD. Klapsons is also home to Lucas a contemporary grill that serves up quality dishes.
When I was back in June, my brother took me for a tasting at Lucas, their Italian European restaurant (*thanks for the correction Ella Bangs) before it opened. We started with an uneventful caesar salad, but that hunk of beef for our main was an excellent cut, done perfectly. I think I’ve been terribly spoilt by the amazing restaurants in Beijing that the creme brulée didn’t shake my core. Yet, given the lovely intimate ambiance and time to work through the teething problems, I think the concept will fly.
