Cherries Dessert

I love seasonal products and all the ways you can cook them. For someone obsessive like me who intensely like stuff, I could eat the same thing I love everyday for months.

 

Here’s what you can do with cherries when they’re in season.

Ingredients:
cherries sliced in half
60g powdered sugar
vanilla ice cream
100g water

Directions:
Pour the sugar into the boiling water and make a sugar syrup, reduce it so it won’t be overpoweringly sweet. Once you see bubbles in the pan, add the cherries and toss it in the syrup. Don’t stir or toss too hard otherwise the cherries will break.

Served with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream.

    What a lovely dessert. I have to confess I rarely cook with cherries, mainly because they’re so delicious fresh.
