Today’s canteen meal was a real bonus and I had to blog about it with immediacy (well not quite the VPN malfunctioned yesterday)!
We had curry rice for the first time and it tasted okay, like those you find on the menu in pseudo Chinese restaurants in Europe. It’s usually called Singapore/Malaysian curry fried rice, and this dish clearly doesn’t exist in those countries. Still my colleague said first time we’ve had fried rice in his 3 years here!
And then there’s dumplings. Fluffy steaming pillows of jiaozi. Wouldn’t it be nice sleeping on a pillow full of dumplings. You could even wake up for supper and go back to sleep.
