I left Fabrica in September 2006 and went directly to Beijing to join the Chinese photographers Chen Jiao Jiao and Peng Yangjun who was on assignment for COLORS magazine to produce this entire issue of Colors magazine on Beijing and edited all the stories as well as joined half their shoots for the issue: from shooting the Punks of Beijing to China’s last princess and the guy who thought the Santa Claus advertising on the coke bottle was the American president for the longest time until post cultural revolution.
We met and spoke to great people for this issue and Chen and Peng did an amazing job capturing those portraits of old/new Beijing.
