Montpellier: Dinner @ (2*) Le Jardin des Sens
My favourite meal of my summer holidays. A three part amuse bouche, parmesan tomato emulsion, tuna millefeuille and tomato water. Simple and refreshing before our dégustation menu started to arrive. We did our soaring cholesterols a favour and skipped the foie gras course after days of overeating.
Le hommad à l’orientale: Lobster carpaccio with coconut milk and white coco beans emulsion, a nice Asian touch with the the Vietnamese spring roll wrap
Red mullet on a bed of melon tabouleh, Have to say I enjoyed the tabouleh more than the mullet!
My favourite dish of the evening: flower of courgette stuffed with scampi served with summer truffles, scampi roasted à l’orange. I would have this again and again, if I could.
Fleur de courgette
Sole served with white coco beans and fresh hazel nuts and little squids at the base
Lamb with apricots, with a side of herbs, black sesame seeds and buckwheat cooked to perfection
Love cheese chariots, with the best French cheeses you could ask for.
Desserts were divine and a great way to wrap up the evening. Another wonderful dinner and I overate as usual.
The hotel and rooms are cute, would definitely recommend spending the night after the amazing dinner.
