Eating Out: 2* Michelin Le Puits St Jacques Pujaudran France

les puits st jacques michelin star france amuse bouche

Dining at Le Puits St Jacques was the highlight of our Summer, our best meal of Summer 2013! I took 2 Michelin-starred Chef Bernard eating around Hong Kong earlier this year and explaining Cantonese food to him. I didn’t have a chance to try his masterpieces when he was cooking in Macau, and was promised a meal of my life in the Summer – and delivering his promise he did.

Chit chat over bottles of Ruinart and me admiring his wife, Anne’s carefully curated and handpicked country chic vintage treasures in their modern rustic restaurant in a small French town Pujaudran.

Dinner was outstanding, the best of seasonal produce, pristine fresh flavours, perfectly cooked and dressed, rightfully given their full glory to shine in the plate. We sat on the outdoor terrace by the well, befitting given the name of the restaurant translates to The wells of St Jacques.

We dined outdoors by the fabled well. Unfortunately, the lighting got darker as dinner progressed, so I wasn’t able to capture the best of the rest of the meal.

Lunch sets at this 2 michelin starred restaurant begins at 25€, a steal, dinner for two including wine somewhere around 350€+.

Starting off with beautifully plated amuse bouche.
