There are lots of places to go for crab beehoon in Singapore and the most popular one Sin Huat Eating house, which has over the decades have become crazy expensive (you’d have to be prepared to fork out at least 150-200SGD per person for a couple of dishes including the hero crab bee hoon).
This time,we went with Singapore blogger I Eat I shoot I post’s recommendation Long Ji Zi Char. Happy to report, super tasty bouillon for the crab bee hoon, be sure to eat immediately because the bee hoon absorbs all the bouillon.
We also ordered the har chiong chicken (shrimp paste coated deep fried chicken wings), tasty, crispy and perfectly done.
Coffee marinated pork ribs – aromatic, bitter sweet, tender and full of flavour.
Pumpkin prawns, probably my least favourite. Prawns were overcooked and bland compared to the other dishes. We also ordered a side of lettuce stir fried with fermented tofu bean paste which we devoured and didn’t have time to take photos of with our greasy hands.
On average it cost us 35SGD per person for all the food we ordered for four people.
