Marrying up is another hilarious read by Wendy Holden. I’ve almost gone through the collection of Wendy Holden’s books, I discovered her fiction over 10 years ago at the Singapore library and I am quickly devouring all of her books. I think my first book I read was Pastures Nouveau, one of those chick lit that keeps you up at night so you’d finish it in one sitting.
The characters are well built and thought through, and the plot that moves it along is always hilarious and hysterical, with female protagonists in search of better futures and fortunes. Holden brings on so much humour in the gold digging, determined but dense lot.
If you’re looking for a quick lighthearted read, I highly recommend all of her books!
