This is a backdated post from 18 months ago (!) Roots has to be my favourite independent restaurant in Macao and I highly recommend it. They also do hydroponics farming for their vegetables in a large warehouse and try to respect slow food as much as possible.
The restaurant is elegant and minimalist, with a Scandinavian vibe. chef Antony De Sousa Tam selects everything from the wall decor, to the plates and utensils.
The menu changes regularly so I’m sure these dishes may no longer be on the menu. Everything is simple, tasty and perfectly executed. You know exactly what you’re going to get when you order it.
