We’ve eaten at Le Petit Nice Passedat in Marseille several times over the past decade since we started dating and it’s truly one of our favourite three Michelin starred restaurants. Gorgeous sunset views (we always go in the summer), stunning rooms and a full-blown Mediterranean menu with the best of the sea distilled in your plate. I’m not being biased even though Chef Gerard Passedat is a friend of the husband.
Just last summer we returned for a meal and stayed a night. The menu is constantly evolving and I haven’t had any dish twice on every visit.
If you’re planning to celebrate a special occasion, go on your honeymoon or just doing a gourmet tour of France, I highly recommend adding this to your bucket list. The restaurant Relais & Chateaux is in a gated compound just by the rocky beach. I am not a fan of rocky beaches, but you have direct access to the sea from the hotel.
Marseille, a beautiful town by the Sea
Situated on the Corniche Kennedy, a picaresque coastal road in Marseille, overlooking the Mediterranean sea. The luxury hotel offers entry to the private (rocky beach), has a pool and spa facilities.
It’s been a while and I’m catching up on my backlog of content, so I am unable to take you through every single dish, but I promise you it was delicious, pristine, pure flavours of the sea. Enjoy the photos below.
I’m so immensely grateful for my life and to be able to travel and experience so many things in this life and an incredibly generous, kind and fun husband who is constantly introducing new things into my life to discover and learn.
