Birthday treats

Another birthday, another year around the sun!

I was already feeling awesome in my late 20s where I had more direction in life and things somehow fell into place more easily without angsty battles—possibly because I got better at managing myself, people and situations. Also, working with amazing bosses and colleagues completely turned things around.

After years of stumbling through my entire uninspiring work life, I finally ended up in workplace with alpha bosses I could look up to, learn lots from as they constantly push me out of my comfort zone.

Turning 30 just sort of cemented the upward mobility journey, coupled with a healthy, exciting and loving relationship. I couldn’t ask for more and am very thankful for how kind life has been to me.

Naturally to celebrate the occasion, I ate lots and excessively. It’s nice to see chef a few days a week as we both commute weekly instead of every few months.

Three days worth of feasting, starting with Middle Eastern to wasabi shots, Robouchon’s Le Jardin and Japanese curry with the team, in a Panda curry place with a flying panda on the ceiling.

Katsu curry and a flying panda on the ceiling. Our generous portion of curry came with brilliantly crisp deep fried pork cutlet.
