The first time I heard about Formentera was 5 years ago when I watched this heart wrenching film Los amantes del círculo polar (Lovers of the Artic Circle). It’s also the same set where the film lucia el sexo was shot. I made a mental note that someday I would go to this amazing island in Spain.
Didn’t think much about when I’d eventually visit. This summer, the love of my life took me there and we possibly spent the best summer ever.
So, Juan y Andrea is one of the pricest restaurants on the island. Everyone that dines here is either famous or insanely rich. Surgically enhanced women is the norm and men all have watches more expensive than property in Hong Kong. You get the drift.
We went with the fresh catches of the day, a pot of clams and a side of salad. Our mains came with deliciously roasted potatoes and vegetables. Simple, fresh and a good kind of salty—a piece of the Mediterranean well dressed solely with salt, pepper and citrus.
Grateful for all the wonderful memories shared. That was my best summer. Thank you.
