SHOP: PMQ Hong Kong

The latest hipster spot in town, the Police Married Quarters turned creative hub is filled with so many wonderful things you’ll leave with an empty pocket.

I’m biased and a big fan of my friend Arnault’s Kapok – which has most recently become an empire – having expanded into Taipei and Singapore too, from his little Star Street shop. There are plenty of wonderful shops selling life like dimsum candles “Be Candle” to clever gadgets from local HK designers. There are also plenty of fashion forward stores, one lady recycles demin making one of pieces of qipao – stunning and at 4000HKD and up for a piece.

My loot above, Hong Kong artist Rex Koo’s caricatures of “The Godfather” and Lagerfeld as well as his rendition of a graphic print of Wong Kar Wai’s In the Mood for Love on a canvas tote.
