It’s been over two years since I’ve been to Little Bao when they had just opened. Menus were fixed and there wasn’t a choice to à la carte.

Naturally the baos are fantastic. I always go for the braised pork belly, but there is beef and chicken on the menu.
I followed my friend’s lead and she did the ordering, lamb tartare wasn’t gamey at all and very tasty.

Truffle fries is always a good idea, no matter where and no matter the occasion. They serve their fries with pickled daikon too. Interesting, not our favourite, and could have done with more truffle oil, but they were fresh and crisp as it should be.
And a generous serving of brussels sprouts, simple stir fry with soya sauce.
And dessert – a must do. Deep fried mantou rice flour buns with green tea (matcha) ice cream sandwiched between with condensed milk drizzled over.

We had a glass of wine each, our bill came up to about 360HKD/person
