SCMP Travel: Singapore layover
I have discovered more about Singapore during my medical sabbatical back home than I ever did growing up and living there for 24 years. My story for the SCMP here.
Halal food: mutton murtabak at Zam Zam Singapore.
Hanging out with fowls (black swan included!) at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
Dinner at Old Airport Road Hawker Centre.
I have to confess that I never had Chinese rojak before and I didn’t like it very much. Comes with this airy crispy crackers and pieces of meat that taste less than charsiu than it looks.
