I’m so honoured to be part of the panel for Hong Kong T Dining’s Best Restaurants awards the past couple of years.

2019’s list is now out and congratulations to all the restaurants and chefs!

I contributed to reviewing the Top 20 Restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau. ( No conflict of interests – I stay away from husband’s restaurants and the territory of French fine dining)

Hello!

Hi, I am Juliana Loh, also endearingly known to friends as J-Loh. I am a well-fed and watered not-so-sterile Singaporean married to a chef (Head chef of a three Michelin- starred restaurant, no less).

Chicken Scrawlings is my blog about food, travel and life: celebrating victories in the trials and tribulations of life, marriage and work. In 2017, I survived cancer. I'm making the best of every day and living it on behalf of many dear friends gone too soon.

I am a seasoned, well-travelled freelance journalist covering stories about travel, food, culture, luxury hospitality and design.

Sometimes, you'll also see Smudge, my Beijing rescue tuxedo cat, who decided to get off the streets for the nomadic cat-pat life. In 2018, we welcomed Gaja, a Maine Coon to the family. In September 2020, I became a Mama bear to Baby G.
