Le George Paris George V

This has become one of my favourite places to dine in Paris. Great Italian food at the * Michelin Le George, simple, robust dishes in generous portions.

They share the same wine list as the *** Michelin Le Cinq, including more Italian options of course. The menu is heavy on plant-based and seafood – giving vegetarians and pescatarians plenty of options.

I’m 80% plant-based eating some seafood and very rarely some white meat and there was plenty of options to choose from.

Fine dining restaurants are always an experience but I really do love a good brasserie and simple food. You have to dine outside in the marble courtyard of L’Orangerie (warmer weather conditions). It’s tranquil, lush and admire the floral spectacle of florist extraordinaire Jeff Leatham.

It’s a wonderful place for a date and comparative to other good restaurants across Paris. Also, it’s the George V, doesn’t get more grandoise than that as a Paris address.

We loved dining here, so much we ate here two consecutive days in a row. Everything on the menu is delicious here, but you must order the tomato tart served with pecorino ice cream.

The pasta and risotto are heavenly and finish with the homemade apple tart for dessert that they toss out of a copper pot. I am not a dessert person, but it was well balanced and not too sweet and absolutely worth every calorie.

Well, we’re true gluttons and I’ve given up on my waistline. If you’re looking for best spots in to eat in Paris, do check out my favourite list for Hong Kong Tatler T Dining.
