Gourmet madness ending with Jean Georges Shanghai
I’m blogging like a maniac today after I set out a list of tasks to do while holidaying in Qingdao over the long weekend. It was a dizzying March. I met with 4 Michelin starred chefs who made their way to Asia, three with their namesake restaurants in Beijing and Shanghai.
Two star Michelin chef Nicolas Le Bec from Lyon was guest chef at the Raffles Hotel Beijing cooking up a storm, while two star Michelin chef Daniel Boulud and chef Claudio Sadler were making their annual visit to their namesake restaurants, Maison Boulud and Ristorante Sadler at Chi’enmen 23, formerly known as the Legation Quarter (the government recently made the name change overnight).
And then I went to Shanghai for the weekend to meet three star Michelin chef Jean Georges to interview him and attend a cooking demonstration. I will be sharing the legendary chef’s recipes in the next blog entry.
I will be also be publishing the insightful interviews with chef Daniel Boulud, chef Claudio Sadler and chef Jean Georges once it’s out in print in the expat rag and and the bilingual (English/Thai) Foodstylist magazine that I’m contributing to in their Michelin Star issue.
