Private Kitchens seem to be really popular here, so I was happy to join a group of foodies to try some authentic Cajun food. As the weather has started cooling down considerably, it wasn’t such a bad idea piling up the heavy food. It was HKD450 per head, servings very generous and all family style.
While I wasn’t wow-ed by the food, it was very simple, communal and enjoyable.

Good softshell crab— I guess it’s hard to go wrong as long as it’s hot, crisp and not overcooked turn mushy.
Okra love, one of my favourite vegetables that I grew up calling ladies fingers…
There was also sweet potato mash, and a super fishy crawfish dish, which is one of their signature dishes… and their ribs, well done but nothing to write home about.
What stole the night away was the delicious corn bread and honey butter that came with it. Also enjoyed the Jambalaya that I didn’t manage to get a photo of since it went too fast with the self-servings!
Finished on a nice note with a Louisiana Honey Pecan Pie w/ Chocolate Bourbon Cream.
