commune table macau

This is not exactly new, Communal Table Macau is the second outlet by über cool Keith, the same mastermind behind Single Origin. He’s raised the bar bring excellent coffee to Macau, in addition to leading a growing trendy café culture. It’s a different vibe here with it’s simple dark wood industrial chic interiors, a giant chalk board with the daily menu and delicious brews.

Food wise ,there are sandwiches, freshly baked croissants daily, cold cuts and baked potatoes topped generous with cheese and various fillings. A great place for a quick lunch stop and cuppa. Seating is tight and it’s cosy and you’ll have to share with strangers – exactly what its name suggests.

It’s buzzing all day and you might have to wait for a seat if you’re more than a party of three. But if you have the time, it’s worth the 15-20min wait to get a table (even on a busy Sunday afternoon).

Be tempted by the selection of Marou chocolate too, apart from the beautiful packaging, it’s also pretty good. They tend to come a little sour/tart, and I like the green one best. All dark chocolate.

29C Rua Formosa Macau (short walk from Clube Militar)

Opening hours: 12pm-8pm

Te;: +853 6677 9985

(it’s really close by the Club Militar)
