Tunein Wellness Hong Kong is an award-winning centre for sound healing and holistic wellness, offering an immersive experience for individuals seeking grounding and energetic balance and healing.
At the heart of the studio is the award-winning sound alchemist Malbert Lee who offers different sound healing modalities across Hong Kong – from his ever-increasing collection of beautiful gongs to crystal bowls and Tibetan singing bowls and a wide variety of musical tools. I discovered Malbert and his sound alchemy during the Covid pandemic and so pleased he’s opened his own studio last year.
good vibrations only at tunein wellness
Sound healing has long been recognised as a powerful tool for promoting physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Tunein Wellness embraces the ancient practice of sounds with a modern approach and Lee is gentle, nurturing and kind, always encouraging one to acknowledge and release all feelings. “Whatever comes up, all feelings are OK.” We’ve been conditioned as a society to stuff uncomfortable feelings and they resurface in all sorts of ways from ailments to a dent in our mental health.
Lee encourages us to try different modalities and find what we like and what works – I’ve done the works except the chakra light crystals and I love them all. Gong baths features the resonant tones of large gongs – Lee’s pride and joy is a stunning 42″ Titanium gong from Germany.
Gongs provide deep relaxation and the release of stress and tension. (it is not uncommon to have free flowing tears – the body’s way of release). Singing bowls with their melodic vibrations promote harmony and balance within the body and mind. My TCM guru Master Ruth Lee even incorporates singing bowls into her fertility treatments. Crystal bowls (my favourite) are known for their ethereal sounds, facilitating energetic alignment and restoration – I did plenty of this along with Reiki during chemotherapy. If you’re looking for this healing modality in Singapore, I cannot recommend Elaine at Reiki Glow enough.
Whether you’re a believer in the power of sound or just curious about alternative healing modalities, Lee’s studio in Hong Kong is a safe and nurturing place to start.
Tunein Wellness offers these sound healing modalities that create a transformative and rejuvenating experience for those ready to embark on their own personal journey of introspection, healing and grounding.
I wish I had more time to go more often for self-care, but in this season of Motherhood, I’ll pop in when I can without life throwing me last minute curveballs. I’ve taken up a package of 11 sessions at 4400HKD and absolutely love the new moon and full moon gong baths, along with the sound healing in a hammock.
Sound healing and energy work is heavily dependent on how you vibe with the practitioners. It’s a very personal experience and I highly recommend that you try different modalities out until to find what works for you. I’ve been to a handful of sessions at Samadhi with different practitioners, but gravitate towards the energies of Malbert.
Red Doors Studio has Hong Kong’s largest collection of gongs and specialises in gongs.
